1. Matters Arising From Previous Meetings
1.1 Miss McKay has been investigating possible sources of funding for defence against the erosion that the annual shoreline surveys have shown, and it was agreed that the first priority was to establish that the owner of that particular area of shoreline is the Highland Council. We have now received a letter from Mr Hanson, enclosing a map, saying that his records indicate that for the area between the Kings Arms and the Castle Moil the Highland Council own down to the Mean High Water Spring Line. 1.2 The Secretary has received paperwork for the elections and has advised the Highland Council that our Nomination Meeting on the 26th April from 19:30 until 20:15. An advertisement will be put in the Free Press on the 23rd April and posters have been supplied which have been displayed round the village and also at Kylerhea. 1.3 We are still awaiting a quotation for replacing the rotten woodwork of the Old School however we agreed to give the go ahead to John Murray to paint the exterior. 1.4 The secretary wrote to Scottish Water and asked them to investigate the foul smell from the drains in Old Kyle Farm Road at the end near the roundabout, but had received no reply. He was asked to write again. 1.5 Messrs Reid & Sikorski met with Marshall-Gillespie at the War Memorial they agreed that a light at the front and back would be sufficient, possibly incorporated into a bench. 1.5 Mr Sikorski said that the owners of the White Heather Hotel would put up information sheets on the information board next to the pontoon leaving room for an A4 size notice from the Harbour Master. 1.5 Mr Sikorski has received an email from Scottish Water saying that under the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, they are required to provide primary treatment as a minimum by December 2005. The Secretary was asked to write saying if possible could they ensure that the work is not carried out during the tourist season. 1.5 The Secretary wrote to Bill Ross regarding the abandoned vehicles in the Lane East of Bellevue. Simon Fraser, Area Planning Manager, has written to the owner of Bellevue asking for the area to be tidied up without delay. 1.5 The Secretary has written to Broadford Medical Centre, asking them to cease putting a restriction on the number of patients they will see at the Tuesday Clinic at Kyleakin, but has received no reply. 1.5 Now that the ownership of Shorefield has been established the Secretary was asked to write to Mrs Phipps asking her if she could keep the area tidy. 1.5 Mr Taylor said that he had attended an Eilean Bŕn Trust Director’s meeting and it had been agreed that there would be an AGM on May 6th when hopefully we can attract two or three more Directors. Then we should be able to make decisions on the way ahead. 2. Correspondence

Mr Sikorski said that one of the four moorings at the end of the pier had been lying in front of the old ferry office for nearly a year. The Secretary was asked to write to the Harbour Master to have it put back in position.
3.2
Mr Sikorski asked if the “Toilet” signs on the old ferry office could be painted over. The Secretary had telephoned, but would put the request in writing to Bill Ross.
3.3
Before closing the committee passed a vote of thanks to Russell Thomson for all that he had done on behalf of the Council and wished him well for the future. As this would be the last meeting before the CC elections the Chairman also thanked the committee who had given so generously of their time during their term of office.
