Kyleakin Harbour Facilities

Kyleakin has a pontoon available for yachts and other small boats. The harbour is run and maintained by Highland Council and charges for use of the facilities.

Kyleakin Harbour

There is fresh water available at the pontoon. Fuel is available over at Kyle of Lochalsh pier by arrangement with the Harbour. There is no electricity available at the pontoon. Kyle also has ice making facilities as well as waste oil disposal.

The pontoon is very sheltered from all but Easterly winds.

These rates apply in Kyle and Kyleakin Harbours private pleasure craft when not carrying goods or passengers for hire or commerce or not fishing for gain.

Summer berths will have deemed to have been surrendered at the end of September. The authority is not able to guarantee the availability of the same berths for the following year. Allocation of berths is at the discretion of the Harbour Authority. Summer berthage (1st April - 31st September) will be calculated at 67% of the annual fee, subsequent required months will be charged at 10% of annual fees.

Moorings and anchorage will be charged at 75% of the berthage fee.

HOPEFULLY you will never need them, but if you do, the nearest RNLI lifeboat is located nearby. Visit the Kyle of Lochalsh Lifeboat Station website.

Short Stays
Vessels with a short stay for a maximum of 4 hours between 0800 and 1600 will be subject to a nominal fee of £5 including VAT irrespective of length of vessel.

Visitors Moorings

Slipway is available for slippage & recovery for £7 a day or £38 per anum.

Three visitors moorings are available just outside the harbour between Kyleakin and the bridge.
