The village of Kyleakin is located on the eastern edge of the island of Skye which is the largest of the islands of the Inner Hebrides, north west of Scotland in the UK.
Access to the mainland of Scotland is by the Skye Bridge, which is about 1/2 mile long. Once on the mainland, you find yourself in the village of Kyle of Lochalsh. the bridge used to have an expensive toll, but this was removed in 2004 and is now free.
