The tolls on the bridge across to the Isle of Skye have now been REMOVED! No more extortionate charges to cross what was possibly the most expensive stretch of roadway in the world! Come and visit us for free now (well, free across the Bridge!!)

The latest Community Council minutes plus archive are now available on the website, click on the link to the Community Council on the left to read (updated June 2009). Following concerns over the closure of the Youth hostel and a public meeting a Community Company has been set up. See the Community Company pages for details.

We finally have our Post Office back, it is now located in the Gift Shop at the King Haakon.

Harry's Coffee Shop re-opens under new management. Skye & Lochalsh Association for Disability have now opened a coffee shop an second hand bookshop in the Old School. So go and visit the Nice Cafe

Stitches on the Bridge will be hanging pieces of knitting and crochet from around the world across the Skye Bridge on the weekend 23-26 October. More news here.
